The last things to do were to fit a hanging bracket for the tailpipe (top right) This is made from a welded exhaust bracket while remaining fully adjustable.
I
acquired a jerry-can which I have also painted
in distinctive hammerite yellow. (There's
not much chance I will mislay my spare petrol
supply now).
The
chrome bumper over-riders needed polishing.
These were rubbed up to a nice shine, then
laquered the same as the wheels to give a
protecting overcoat without spoiling the
chrome finish. (Brasso and lots of elbow-grease
is the only thing I know of that can make
them look like new again)
