Introduction and DescriptionThe Mid Norfolk Family History Society was formed in September 1994 and is a member of the Federation of Family History Societies. Our local members have an interest in Family History in general but do not necessarily have genealogical links to this part of Norfolk. However, we have a large number of distant members with interests in Mid-Norfolk and we aim to assist in their research by collecting and recording family history information from within an area of approximately 10 miles around Dereham. The collection of local information is growing steadily. Local members may borrow from our extensive library of family history and local interest publications, microfiche and CD-ROMs. Written queries from members are welcomed but do require a SAE and an understanding that the Society is unable to undertake deep research. Contact names are on the Officers' page . A two-part Membership Application Form is also online. All members may register with the e-mail information service which, although currently being reviewed, should soon include reports on the talks given at meetings and updates on current Society news. MeetingsMeetings are held on the third Wednesday of each month (except December) in the Trinity Methodist Church Hall, Theatre Street, Dereham at 7.30pm, usually with a speaker followed by tea/coffee and an update on family history news. New members and visitors are always welcome. NewsletterA newsletter is published four times a year and circulated to all members. Articles are always welcomed. Requests for help and information may be included in the newsletter free of charge. Members' Interests
