As I had always intended on spending large amounts of time on this project, I took photos from the outset.
texttexttext The first thing that was tackled was the rusting front wings. These were very badly corroded (as you can see from the top two pictures). The car was jacked up from the middle, the front wheels and shock absorbers were removed.

When I brought the car, I was lucky enough to also get a couple of front wings to replace the manky ones.

Off came the old wings with the assistance of the disc-grinder. This took hardly any time at all as they were near to comming off by themselves in any case.

Before fitting the new wing it was necessary to replace the inner bonnet rail, as otherwise, I would have had nothing to fix the new wings on with.
